The Joy of Family Music® for children birth (yes birth!) through 4 and the adults who love them!
Patricia opened Music Together of Berkeley Hgts & Watchung in 2000. We are now in our 9th year of sharing the joys of Family Music Making with the community and surrounding towns. We are happy to have been able to expand to Metuchen and offer classes to the Metuchen community, as well.

Music Together ®classes build on your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. We introduce children to the joys of making music rather than passively receiving it from CD's or television.
Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning.
In a Music Together class, up to twelve children and the adults that love them meet once a week for 10 weeks for a 45 minutes class to experience songs, chants, movement activities, and instrumental jam sessions. Children, along with their parents/caregivers, sit in a circle and are playfully led in song by a teacher trained in early childhood music development. We learn new songs and explore them. Many songs you may know from your own childhood; many are original; some are from other countries with unusual tonalities and meters.
We get up and boogie; dancing, marching and twirling around the room. We play with our voices. Playing with rhythm instruments is an integral part of class, allowing our little ones the joy of discovering and exploring their own rhythms. We get to play with them.
IT'S FUN!!!
You're role is essential. Because little ones instinctively respond best to and imitate their loved ones, the active participation of parents and caregivers (regardless of their musical ability) is an essential part of the rich musical environment we create.
